Meet Our Team
Dr. Donna Lewis, DVM: Veterinarian
Dr. Lewis received her B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Idaho in 1987 and graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She has been a veterinarian for 24 years although her college career began as a music major in vocal education. Dr. Lewis still loves to sing and is a member of the Bitterroot Valley Chorus and Stevensville Methodist Church Choir. Prior to vet school, she worked as a veterinary assistant and later as a technician for two years in a private practice in Washington. Dr. Lewis and her family love living in the Bitterroot Valley, which is her birthplace. The hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and camping opportunities in MT are favorite activities of Dr. Lewis, her husband Ron, and their daughters Kalyn and Meggie. Dr. Lewis says it’s been an awesome journey to come back to Western Montana. The Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountains have called her home! Reconnecting with the area, people, and pets of Ravalli County is a sheer joy. She loves what she does every day!
Janna Lukomski-Wells: Veterinary Technician
Janna earned a B.S. in Wildlife Science with a minor in Biology at Virginia Tech in 1997. Although Janna’s plan was to work with wildlife, she started as a veterinary assistant/technician one week after graduation and was hooked in the veterinary industry. She loved the job and the people, and has since worked as a technician in VA, CA, and MT. With 20 years of experience in the field, she still loves what she does and looks forward to learning something new every day. When not working, Janna loves to travel. She has been to all 50 states and has a good story about each one! Janna’s free time is also spent with her two Anatolian Shepherds, one Red Heeler/Pit cross, one Pug, three cats, and one Beta fish.
Allison Hale: Veterinary Technician
Allison earned a B.S. in Animal and Veterinary Sciences from the University of Idaho in 2016 and is currently attending Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine with an expected graduation date of May 2020. A Corvallis, MT native, she was actively involved in the Bitterroot Saddlebusters 4-H Club and has volunteered or worked at veterinary clinics around the Bitterroot Valley for the past 8 years. Upon graduation with her DVM, she would like to work in a mixed animal veterinary practice in rural Montana. Although she admits that veterinary school is challenging, she loves what she’s learning and the wonderful students and faculty she can interact with. In whatever spare time she can find, Allison enjoys riding her 12-year old Quarter Horse mare, Shancy, or playing sports like rugby and soccer.
Sarah Murray: Veterinary Technician
Sarah grew up in Hamilton, Montana. She was apart of Pony Club and 4-H horse project. Even though she loves horses, she loves working with all animals. She graduated Animal Behavior College in 2015 with a certification for Veterinary Assistant. Sarah worked at a vet clinic in North Dakota for 3 years before moving back to the valley with her daughter and husband. She is currently attending Ashworth College for Veterinary Technician. Sarah has two Labrador retrievers and a kitty. She loves family, work and enjoys hiking in the mountains.
Rachel Agosto: Veterinary Assistant
Rachel graduated from the University of Montana with an AA degree in Digital Art. Her two furry friends are a Himalayan Siamese cat named Tinkerbell, better known as Bean, and a Bull Terrier dog named Vera, whom everyone here calls Bootie Foots. She has always had a passion for art and loves to paint and draw. She even has published an adult coloring book on Amazon. She loves animals and thinks working at a veterinary clinic is just the bees knees because she meets new furry friends every day. She also loves to travel and go camping and hiking.
Meggie Lewis: Receptionist
Meggie will be a senior at Hamilton High School. She is currently on the HHS soccer team, and is in the Guys and Dolls elite choir. During her free time, Meggie likes to go backpacking, paddle boarding, and hiking with her sister Kalyn, brother-in-law Jamie, boyfriend Garrick, and dog Steel.
Meggie plans on attending the University of Idaho after high school, and hopes to work in the animal field just like her mom (Dr. Donna Lewis). This is her first summer working at Willow Mountain Veterinary Clinic, and she loves it. Meggie really enjoys the people she works with, and especially loves her boss.
Nita Vandegrift: Receptionist
Nita originally came from Great Falls where she worked for the USAF, Malmstrom AFB as the Unit Program Coordinator for the 10th Missile Squadron until she retired and moved to Missoula. Five years later she bought a house in Hamilton and moved to the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. She has two children, Zac and Hauli and four grandchildren who live in Missoula and Hamilton. She began working at the Willow Mountain Veterinary Clinic in August 2018 as Receptionist, where she loves answering the phones, greeting the customers and helping take care of their pets. Nita enjoys taking walks with her grandchildren, camping and fishing at Seeley Lake and living in the Bitterroot.
