Meet Our Team
Dr. Donna M. Lewis, DVM: Clinic Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Donna was born and raised in Hamilton and the Grantsdale area. She enjoyed pack trips in the Bitterroot and Pintlar ranges growing up. During high school at Hamilton High School she spent much time in Mrs. Virginia Vinal’s choir room, loving music and all activities associated with it. She graduated from the University of Idaho with a BS in Animal Science and a minor in Music Education. Her love of animals and science took her on to veterinary school at Washington State University, graduating in 1993. She started her vet career in a mixed animal practice in Moscow, ID where she worked for 8 years. She and her husband Ron raised 2 girls in Moscow. Over time Donna spent 12 years in the field of Laboratory Animal Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University (10) and Montana State University (2). Now she loves being back home in the Bitterroot in private veterinary practice. She lives with her family and pets including 1 busy German Shepherd “Steel”, 4 cats, 4 cows, and a bunch of chickens. It’s wonderful to be back home in the Valley!
Janna Lukomski-Wells: Veterinary Technician
anna earned a B.S. in Wildlife Science with a minor in Biology at Virginia Tech in 1997. Although Janna’s plan was to work with wildlife, she started as a veterinary assistant/technician one week after graduation and was hooked in the veterinary industry. She loved the job and the people, and has since worked as a technician in VA and MT. With 20 years of experience working at Willow Mountain, she still loves what she does and looks forward to learning something new every day. When not working, Janna loves to travel. She has been to all 50 states and has a good story about each one! Janna’s free time is also spent with her two Anatolian Shepherds, one Red Heeler/Pit cross, one Pug, three cats, and one Beta fish.
Allison Hale: Veterinary Technician

She is a newly-minted veterinarian! She will begin work as a mixed animal veterinarian in Twin Falls, ID in July of 2020. In whatever spare time she can find, Allison enjoys riding her 15-year old Quarter Horse mare, Shancy, or playing in the outdoors.
Jessie Tillotson: Veterinary Technician
Jessie has been a veterinary technician for 18 years. She was born and raised in Montana, lived in Portland, OR for almost 20 years, then moved back in March of 2019. This is her first time living in the Bitterroot. Jessie loves fishing, exploring the area, playing at Lake Como, and hanging out with the Best Son in the World! Jessie keeps busy at home with her Rottweiler, Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Maltese, two crazy Siamese cats, 4 parakeets, one ball python, 10 chickens, one rooster, 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats, one beta fish, and an adopted BLM donkey named Leonard.

Although veterinary school is challenging, Kalyn is loving all that she’s learning and experiencing. After graduating Kalyn hopes to work as a rural mixed animal practitioner – someday hopefully taking over her mom’s (Dr. Donna Lewis) clinic! She loves getting to work with her mom whenever her school schedule allows. Kalyn is married to her wonderful husband, Jamie, and they have two fun-loving Australian Shepherds, Bodie and Benson, and a kitty named George. Kalyn and Jamie love just being outside with their dogs and friends – backpacking, camping, hiking, fishing, skiing, mountain biking…etc. When she’s not out adventuring you can find her building a puzzle, or curled up in her hammock with a good book.
Megs Lewis: Receptionist
Megs is an undergraduate student at the University of Idaho, currently studying Pre-Physical Therapy. She is part of the college’s women’s club soccer team and loves traveling to games with her teammates. During her free time, Megs enjoys many outdoor activities – backpacking, camping, skiing, soccer, and riding her horse, Gem.
Mikka Heineman: Receptionist
Mikka is new to the Bitterroot. She moved from Portland, OR with 3 years of canine and feline grooming experience. Her family grew up rescuing and breeding German Shepherd Dogs (GSD) for the Wounded Warriors Foundation. She spends most of her spare time with Keanu her GSD, and her husband exploring new parts of Montana.
Jakob Dalbey: Receptionist
Jakob is currently in his second year at Montana State University in Bozeman studying Animal Science with aspirations to continue onto veterinarian school to become a large animal veterinarian. He is a recent graduate of Corvallis High School, class of 2019, and was involved in a variety of clubs including national honor society and FFA along with Varsity football and track. In his time off he spends most of it helping his grandparents with their registered Black Angus cows. Cows were his first love and plans to have a herd of his own someday. Jakob also enjoys activities such as working in the garden and sitting around talking.
